Children & Yeast

Information for parents with children who suffer from candida is impossible to find. I have just spent 2 1/2 hours trying to find a website that wasn't all about selling books or products. I couldn't find anything worth looking at. I'd have to buy a book.

There are sites for casein/gluten allergies in kids, peanut and seafood allergies, and everything else it seems. But Candida? They either focus on infants who get oral thrush from breastfeeding or they talk about the relationship between autism/learning & behavioural disorders and Candida Albicans. But still, they say nothing different from the diets we follow as adults, and hardly anything specific for children.

The only thing that really stood out was that some websites promote using antifungal prescriptions despite the numerous postings I saw where specialists claimed that it's important children under 7 don't use them at all.

If anyone has found solid information on pediatric care or nutritional guides for children with Candida, please let me know.

Here's the only article I found that was useful, that encompasses all the other tiny tidbits that were fair at best on other sites:

Update: Miri was kind enough to send me another link that may be useful. Thanks Miri!
